201, 202 (replaces old CS30) – City and Guilds NPTC level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance + Cross-cutting (QCF)

2 day course with extra day for NPTC assessment.

For candidates wishing to complete a level 2 Award in Chainsaw Maintenance + Cross-cutting. This course will take you through the appropriate techniques and safety guidelines, to ensure you are confident when using a chainsaw, but also aware of the health + safety requirements.

 

Course Content

• HSE legislation + guidelines.

• Overview of the chainsaw + maintenance equipment.

• Maintaining the sawchain.

• Maintaining the guide bar.

• Power unit maintenance

• Starting the chainsaw + pre-cutting checks.

• Cross-cutting timber + felled timber.
